Cicada Tracking

This is the 17th year of our Brood II Cicada and we are expecting a ton of them. Already, we have at least 100 in the yard this morning. Many of them have shed their nymph bodies and many of them are adults. They are hanging out on anything they can, with large clusters of them on my Fire Twig Dogwood bushes. Below is a picture of one that has just come out of its nymph stage. You can see its exoskeleton next to it. Also, I’ve embedded a tracking map you can view real time data and where people are seeing them.  Here is a Cicada Tracking map updated in real time:  http://project.wnyc.org/cicadas/map.html
